Water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, dragon boating and rowing are being developed to make the beautiful Dongqian Lake more dynamic. At present, Dongqian Lake is making every effort to become an urban water recreation and sports resort.

　　Dongqian Lake has been initially built as a sailing base, forming a professional operation system of sailing education, training, experience and competition, and a team of national coaches has successfully organised for a number of events.

　　In order to give full play to the unique advantages of the city's inner lake, Dongqian Lake is currently implementing a new round of water sports development planning, and is striving to build an internationally renowned sailing harbour and international dragon boat bay area.
